Jovie of Reno–Tahoe is hiring dependable, experienced nannies and sitters for local childcare assignments, with additional opportunities for those willing to travel to the Tahoe and Truckee region.
Priority consideration will be given to applicants with blocks of availability between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., especially those available to work throughout the holiday season. You do not need to be available for the entire 12-hour window.
Bring your childcare experience, creativity, and caring personality. We’ll provide scheduling support, family coordination, and a local office you can turn to when you need help.

Tahoe and Truckee travel opportunities
Our Reno-based nannies and sitters can access additional Bright Horizons backup-care assignments in Tahoe and Truckee, with travel incentives available for eligible assignments.You’ll also have office support when mountain weather affects travel. We monitor road conditions and closures and communicate with families when roads become impassable.
What you will do
Provide attentive, engaging childcare in family homes. Plan age-appropriate activities, follow family routines, prepare children’s meals as needed, and keep play areas tidy. Your focus is helping children feel safe, supported, and engaged.Who we are looking for
- At least two years of childcare experience.
- Dependable transportation and reliable communication.
- Strong childcare references.
- Willingness to complete background and driving-record screening.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Blocks of availability between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. receive priority consideration.
- Availability throughout the holiday season also receives priority consideration.
- Willingness to accept Tahoe/Truckee assignments is a plus.
