Job Description:
Fulltime Placement Nanny position working for a family in Truckee, California: Open to Nevada residents only.
We are currently seeking a full-time nanny with 2 + years’ experience, that is current on infant vaccines for a family and their 7-month-old daughter starting on or slightly before April 1, 2026. We are looking for someone that possesses excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach with parents, solid references, and experience with infants. Our ideal candidate would be reliable, trustworthy, and caring. We are looking for someone who loves working with children, embraces imaginative, age-appropriate play. We are looking for an experienced, (2+ years) nanny who wants to form a lasting relationship working as a direct placement for a family with an infant child. Both parents work from home, and the family also has 2 pet cats.
- Schedule: 30 hours per week guaranteed. May increase to 35 hours per week, Monday Through Friday from 9AM to 3 or 4PM depending on the daily needs of the family.
- 6 Federal holidays off with pay (if these fall on typical workdays); New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
- A $100 per week mileage stipend will also be provided for caregivers driving from the Reno area.

- Structuring Activities & Facilitating creative play ideas: Art, Music, and age-appropriate play matching learning milestones.
- Light Housekeeping: Meal Prep, Kitchen Area (Dishes, counter), Children’s Laundry- Baby only
- Reading and helping the baby learn basic language skills
- Bathing and / or Diaper Changes
- Organizing & Tidying Play Area, Children’s Bedrooms (Include children in process)
- No TV / Screen Time for children (unless approved by parent)
- No Phones / Screen Time while working, unless communicating with Parents
- No Photographs / Videos of children ever posted on social media or shared.
- No medication given to children unless approved by parents
We are looking for mature, very active, highly creative, engaging, and child-focused individuals who are willing to have fun, play, read, do arts and crafts and other activities, and provide an attentive and safe care environment for the child in your care.
Knowledge of child development, early childhood education and a Montessori focus is preferred.
2–3-year(s) childcare, babysitter or nanny experience. Minimum 12 months infant experience required.
Must have a reliable insured vehicle for travel to family home
Minimum age of 18, with a valid driver’s license and vehicle
Hold a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
CPR/FA trained or willing to receive training
Ability to pass and extensive criminal background check going back 7 years
Ability to provide a minimum of 2-3 professional childcare/nanny references
